Sugar Flowers

A sugar flower is typically made from flower modelling paste or ‘sugarpaste’ – this is not the same as fondant. It is firmer and dries harder allowing the paste to be rolled out thinly giving a more realistic finish to the flower.

It is coloured and contoured to mirror the shape, size and shading of real flowers. This is achieved by using gel, powder or airbrush food safe colours.
